The NHS is being asset stripped and sent into a state where most people will welcome its privatisation. The upheaval this is causing in the transitional phase is being well masked by all the other doom stories currently playing out.

It's stupid stuff like.. remember when you could call NHS Direct and speak to a nurse / doctor any time day or night? How good was that? Now you call 111 and a call centre bod tells you to go to A&E after working through his script of 10 questions. And then the A&E's get full.
