As i have said below i think the only way Article 50 will get served

Is if you can persuade the EU leaders to negotiate the heads of terms of an "in principle" exit deal before serving Article 50. Parliament can then vote on it a before we formally serve notice and the correct process has been followed. Serving it in any other circumstances will cause so much uncertainty.

Whether the EU leaders can somehow be persuaded to do so is another matter but that is what May should privately be lobbing for. Cut the unelected Eurocrats out of it and talk to the other Council members direct. The real disgrace here is that earlier treaties and agreements were simply signed (and rights signed away) without anyone really thinking these things through.
