I think that's a big part of it as well as some culture issues

I always get the impression that the top foreign players 'want' it a bit more. By that I mean they are more prepared to take a little responsilbility for their own development and perhaps work on their game themselves a little.

Ours seem more interested in Fifa/Tatoos.

Could be totally wrong though.
