not only lost the ball in a good attacking position completely needlessly but he also then shrugged, stood still for what seemed and age and made no real effort to chase back and recover it.

The booing later on was unhelpful and more symptomatic of the general breakdown in trust there has been between the fans, board and players than anything personal against Whitaker but my god he was sh*t.
