12 impartial jurors unanimously disagreed with Ched's opinion of her sobriety *Shrug*

The taxi driver and porter both thought she was extremey drunk. His own mate thought she was in such a bad state as to merit asking the porter to look after her. She was sick and woke up in piss with no memory. On the morning after the night before, Evans didn't leave the hotel by the front door that he came in through but chose to leave via a fire exit.

It's not difficult to see how the jury might have thought that Ched's opinion of whether she was capable of informed consent might have been wrong. And when you think that the prosecution has to show 'beyond reasonable doubt' that there was no consent...

Maybe she did consent, maybe she didn't. We've all known men and women who get stupidly drunk and do stupid things. All we can go on is that 12 jurors felt it should have been obvious enough to Evans that she wasn't consenting to sex, and I have even less reason to doubt the 12 jurors than the 3 Court of Appeal judges who let the decision stand.

But his absolute best case scenario is that he went after a drunk woman who his mate had pulled, taking along other mates who then tried to record it. I find his mindset that that sort of behaviour is perfectly ok and not something to show any regret about very unsettling.

It doesn't take an admission of guilt to show remorse.

I actually think that it's his lack of any sign of remorse that makes things so much worse Everyone makes mistakes and, by and large, the public/media forgive/ignore a huge amount - like that footballer who killed someone whilst driving drunk(?) but who came out with an apology and offers to work with charities dealing with such things. Many people will undoubtedly even be thinking 's**t, that could have been me'. All it would have taken to defuse it would have been some sign that he's sorry the situation arose. It would have been a classic 'tomorrow's fish paper' situation.

Evans has either played this very very badly or he's an epic c**t. The fact he let his mates hound the poor woman out of her home speaks volumes.
