Why? There are players who saw him want to leave and if he comes back would they have a s much respect?
He is another year older so will be slower, but unlike players like Martin Peters and muck channon he doesn't have the skills to outweigh lack of pace.
If Wigan didn't want him last season why would we think he could s till do a job here?
Fickle fans would give him the usual 3 games honeymoon and then claim he is rubbish .

And no this is not an anti holt rant. He was a legend for us for 3 seasons, deserved ever ? we paid him but times move on.

For Holt I think the best solution is to come to agreement with Wigan over wages, then cancel contract and sign for Carlisle, home town, close to family, financially ok and spend his final season or two at his boyhood club a, yes lower level but can do a good job for them
