Season before last he scored eight Prem

Goals. So many 'wise' posts on here were all getting excited that he was going and the likes of The Wolf and Hooper were being signed in that somehow it'd take us a step forward. If he'd scored another eight last season we'd have stayed up. Plus his leadership is second to none. Sure I know at the time he wanted to leave and he needs to get fit but to have him back at the club would be a positive. That said, sadly don't think he'd return. Incidentally if he's not up to it, why did Lambert take him on last season?
