Ought to be simple, oughtn't it?
Refs not to be limp fannies, and not back off when a player marches towards them, and then send off anyone pushing him or screaming in his face.
Two weekends, three, tops, of absolute carnage, and miraculously, managers will be threatening severe sanctions against any player sent off for hassling the ref, and players, being simple self-serving souls first and foremost, like the rest of us, will behave. Done. That was rather a long sentence wasn't it? Not that one, the one before it.
