My 2 pennies' worth

Ok, so let's assume Lambert worked wonders with our squad last season (as compared with Hughton), which is not necessarily what I believe, due to changing circumstances between the first season (full of momentum) and the well-renowned second season syndrome:

1) what's to say there is anyone better out there to replace him?

and

2) why waste what he's already started to build (and clearly hasn't finished in my opinion) just to give another guy the same chance we gave Hoots last summer?

surely that's a waste of the past season, just feels a bit like we'd be gambling again every year like we did during the previous relegations hoping to find someone as good as Worthy was in his prime - we lucked out with Lambert, but he's gone, as he so kindly showed us at the weekend fist pumping his way off the pitch!

Don't get me wrong, if next season I can't see what Hughton's trying to give us (a bit of long term stability would be nice!) then by all means, it's time for change, but to sack someone who quite possibly has got the best out of what he had at his disposal this year (in line with Mr Carra's alternative theory that perhaps things could be a lot worse, just by trying to play gung-ho football again) seems very very knee-jerk to me.

Just saying
