Generally we look a better team but i'm concerned we will not be as effective

at picking up regular wins and ultimately 11 or 12 wins is what will keep us up not the odd draw here and there.

I think we are playing better in many ways than we did for most of last season but can't shape the nagging feeling that out of the same level of performance against the same teams (although in West Am's case obviously didnlt play them) over 4 games last season we would have managed to pick up 5 or 6 points.

I've said before on here that Lambert is a lucky manager and I stick by that. The feeling persists that we would have ended up with 3 or 4 up front and scrambled a winner in at least one of those games. That said we just have to get used to the fact that is not Hoot's style and we still had more than enough chances to win it and its not Hughton's fault that strikers who have proven themselves to be competent in the past have suddenly all forgotten how to score.
