If, And I Emphasise, IF, We Go Down Again...

I'd like to see us doing it with all guns blazing, said new players with a point to prove subscribing to the ethos of NCFC and Lambert, compelled, committed and convinced of their part in the bigger picture and standing, chests raised and heaving as the ship sinks beneath the waves...

...not huffing, puffing and not quite knowing why we are there, or what we are doing, the "we're just glad to be here y'all" approach of Worthy and co, which, whilst it had its moments, had rather too much of Ma and Pa Clampett attending the society Ball and sneaking off early...

Of course, I'd rather we didn't go down at all and thats not a given and doesn't feel inevitable like it did last time-maybe I subscribed to that "glad to be here " philosophy myself as well, but its not the same as before. A sticky start maybe, but I think we'll turn things around and make it work, I think we'll surptise people and do a Reading on them-its how they managed it in season 1, they weren't afraid and they pulled it off, as Blackpool very nearly did as well.

But no, thankfully, "after you" football this time.
