In March 2003 a press release from NCFC stated:
"The Club now also expects to complete the sale of part of its car park land to renowned house building firm Wilson Connolly Anglia for ?6 million, helping to pay for part of the ?8 million plus costs of rebuilding the new stand.
Commenting on the Planning Committee decision, Norwich City Chief Executive Neil Doncaster said: "We are delighted that the future of the new South Stand is now secure. The Planning Committee's decision to give the green light to the Club's plans to develop part of the Carrow Road site with the construction of 330 riverside flats means a ?6 million windfall for the Club - money that can be put towards the huge costs of building a 9,500 seater replacement South Stand this summer. The new South Stand should bring the total capacity of Carrow Road to around 25,500."
