Oh, enough of this. Who wrote this on November 4 last year, I wonder?

That'd be head and shoulders above Newell or Tilson would it? Right. You based this opinion on nothing whatsoever other than that Grant was an "intelligent, committed and honest man": what, so our previous managers and the other candidates in the running hadn't been, then? And on this messageboard after he left, you STILL couldn't work out why Grant failed! Well hey - you don't think having no previous managerial experience, no Plan B whatsoever once Jimmy Smith was injured, constantly failing to select players in their right positions and above all, behaving like a one man slag-it-off-if-it-moves brigade after matches, thus losing the support of key players had the teeniest bit to do with it, do you?

Fans talk s**te sometimes, journalists talk s**te sometimes: though quite why you seem to regard it as a Mark of Cain when anyone else dares to, I have absolutely no idea. On your blog, you write about the club's transfer activity with no knowledge of how negotiations with other clubs actually work, and no knowledge whether most other clubs routinely do similarly structured deals to the one we did with Ashton - still doesn't stop you slagging the board off, though.

And good God: you actually seem to think I've got a bee in my bonnet because I was proved wrong over who the manager would be! You think I care more about getting a prediction right on an internet messageboard, than the future of my club? Everyone on here knows I talk bollocks at least 95% of the time: I hardly needed to prove it yet again. No - I was pissed off because the club I love, in its worst position since 1960, appointed a man with two relegations on his CV. Is that really so difficult to understand? Why else do you think I wrote on here last Monday that the one thing that really scared me was if they appointed Roeder?

Almost everything you write either here or on your blog is a sarcastic, sour-faced putdown. "Puffed up, ignorant windbag"? It sure takes one to know one.
