Pumpkins

Round here the unwritten rule is, if you display a lit pumpkin then you'll welcome trick or treaters, if not you won't. Works quite well, except I heard one old biddy have a go at a group of kids aged about 10-11 when as far as I could tell they'd done absolutely nothing wrong, certainly hadn't gone onto her land - she was moaning about them being dressed up like ghosts.

Memo to self: when old, don't be grumpy
