A house across the way from me

has KEEP OUT! painted on the door in red paint, a skeleton in the window and loads of blood trails down all the glass everywhere. Looks bloody excellent: wish I'd done that.

A few years ago I had a tape of spooky music playing when I opened the door and a running loop of the old lady's speech from Poltergeist in the background ("Cross over my children, all are welcome, aaaaallllll welcome" etc) but one of the smaller ghosties that came to my door was rather scared by it so I've not bothered since.

Ahhhh, bless 'em. Tiny little things. Sigh.
