Starting to become obvious

Firstly I'd like to make it clear that I don't have any inside knowledge (that'll become apparent).

This is logic.

Why the hell would our club wait for over 2 weeks to make an appointment? A club in our predicament would normally appoint within a week at the most.

The only answer (I can think of) is that we are waiting for the right person to become available.

Paul Jewell has NOT ruled himself out and our board has not mentioned him. He has been the favourite from the start to get the job (amongst bookies, fans and the media - which is unusual).

Paul Jewell cannot take a job until November 1st (his agreement after leaving the JJB). November 1st is next Thursday.

My feeling is the stories concerning Bruce, Pulis, Parkinson, Williams, Grayson, Tilson etc etc have been engineered by the club to buy them time (make them look like they are doing something) until the number 1 target can be announced.

I'd love to be right on this one: Paul Jewell announced as new manager next Thursday!
