loads of people are jumping on the bandwagon saying Grant was a crap/cheap/unambitious appointment, tyet if you ask why our crowds are so high they will say because of anticipation of a decent season. In othger words, most fans thought Grant was a decent appointment doing a decent job last season.
Whovever we appoint, even if we stay up this season the moaners will be leaping in the second it looks like we won't make the playoffs next season spouting teh same old crap about wrong appointments, lack of ambition blah blah blah
he fact is any appointment is always a gamble - there iis no "sure thing"manager that we could afford. We are now in the unfortunate poistion of having a significant portion of our fabase whose expectations are out of all alignment with our resources. Yes, we should be doing better than we are, but we would frankly have to punch above our weight just to make the playoffs. That looks likely to be the case for the forseeable future and unwillingness to face it is creating a poisonous atmosphere that is frankly dragging the club down.
