groups. I think Jewell would be an overwhelmingly popular appointment, it's certainly the one I'd like most. But I think it's extremely unlikely.
I'd rather it wasn't Martin Allen but would happily accept him as someone of about the calibre we're going to attract who's done decently enough elsewhere with limited means.
I really don't want Neil Warnock or Tony Pulis - the former because he's a c**t, and the latter because I can't stand the way he makes teams play. If I'm honest about it, I'm in a clear minority on Warnock, I think most fans would actually accept and many would actually welcome him. On Pulis though I reckon I'm in a fairly clear majority.
So I agree with your point and I don't: I think we'd all more or less accept someone like Allen, whether or not he was first choice for any/many of us; I think Pulis is a much harder sell.
