they will be crucified by the fans if they don't appoint someone who is:
a) experienced at Championship level; and
b) known for their teams playing beautiful passing football; and
c) a world famous player
because whichever of those boxes isn't ticked a huge chunk of fans will, at the first sign of struggle post-appointment, rush to proclaim that they knew all along that that was THE crucial box to tick and the board are a bunch of useless muppets for not having such marvellous hindsight as them.
There is clearly no consensus among fans whatsoever, which gives some indication as to what a fantastically difficult decision it is. Any managerial appointment always has been, and always will be, a huge gamble.
