It's like hate crime laws

they say it's bad to threaten or inflict violence aimed at people based on their skin colour, religion or (recently)sexuality.

Which would suggest it's less hatefull and abhorent to threaten or inflict violence indiscriminately(sp?).

Lovely old law.
