Now you may argue that they should not have spent the money on the stands and patched up the South Stand as best they could. That is a different argument.
Any costs that have been spent in terms of obtaining planning on the land being developed pale into insignificance when compared with the value that has (and will in the case of the second phase which recently got a resolution to grant planning) be realised. Yes they may have had to build a road but that is a cost that is inherent with any large scale residential development and without that road the proposals would probably not have been allowed at all.
Look I agree that in general many of the priorities are questionable wrong and you make some salient points but there is no point slagging off the club for the sake of it when the reality is that what they have done with the land has swelled the clubs coffers by millions of pounds.
