Yes, the club has exploited the commercial opportunities of the land bought by the previous regime - but have also run up an additional £6m debt, as well as turning the old short-term one into a long-term one (in order to finance the Jarrold Stand). We had to borrow this, incidentally, because the hoped-for returns from the land behind the River End didn't materialise.

And the additional land purchases necessitate further expense: for example, £1.2m spent last season on building a road (paid for by the difference between incoming and outgoing players). It's endless - we'll never see enough money put towards the football side of things. And that is the present board's responsibility.
