When we had put clauses in which reduced salaries on relegation ?

One theory as to why we've been s**t since we went down is that the loyal players stayed and had their salaries reduced based on that clause, while the big-time Charlies buggered off to big salaries elsewhere, and those players who were brought in were then offered higher salaries than the loyal servants who had got us to the Prem in the first place.

I can imagine that may have played a part in the motivation issues.
