It’s the midfield, isn’t it?

Reflecting on last night, our 4-3-3 just doesn’t work with our current personnel, at least not when the opposition really go at us and we don’t have pacey wide men up front to hit an out ball to.

When we were under the pump, slimane and wright were anonymous.

Thinking back to the farke era, we had two deep lying midfielders in our second promotion season to try and give solidity behind our attacking stars.

We don’t have any proper deep lying midfielders in this system.

This has turned into a ramble…. I think we need pace upfront and a better midfield. And more numbers in midfield if knapper can’t deliver better players.

Zero point being the best technical side in the championship; even if managed to get promoted, it would be utter cannon fodder in the EPL.
