Both subjective, the ref saw everything there was to see, and made a decision.
In my opinion VAR should not be interfering in that.
As for your question, do you mean in what respect do I think the English use of VAR is crap at the moment? Crap is probably overly harsh, but there have been several instances where the wrong decision was reached, or on an incorrect basis. One example that springs to mind is Everton v Forest - the ref decided no pen as he thought young got the ball, but he didn’t. In that situation, VAR should ask him to look again. Offside calls taking ages etc..
Feels to me like it’s been better in the Euros than we’ve seen in the prem. Yes, their tech is better, but that supports my argument; VAR in England can and should be improved.
