Different culture I think

And Indian and Pakistani communities often settled en masse in the Midlands etc, so brought their (very different) culture with them. Whereas a British person moving to Aus isn’t really moving into a different culture.

And yes, we haven’t always been the most welcoming - my wife was chased, racially abused and spat at in Basildon back in the day.

She considers herself fully British though, despite not being born here - she’s also ‘Anglo-Indian’, who aren’t even very popular in India 🙃
