Reminder: Skipp was no Pirlo either, and Tettey could be quite bad most of the time

Just short, sharp and efficient passing. That's all we need at the moment from a defensive midfielder.

If he can take angles to the ball, tackle and occupy passing lanes like Skipp did, and if he steals possession just give it to a better passer on our team then I think that's exactly what we need.

But we haven't even seen him yet. Could also discover that his passing is perfectly fine but he was playing with team mates who were not in good positions.
