If the move does go through then we have someone on board who's ambition at the club he has run for 18 years has been to be perennially competitive whilst spending prudently, making consistent improvements in backroom areas to affect on pitch performance.

I.e it's an extension of the current aims with potentially just a small bit more wriggle room.
