Yes, that flummoxes me too. The whole business seemed a bit fishy.

What happened to Webber’s list of replacement managers who were supposed to step in the minute Daniel left? I am absolutely not convinced that Dean Smith was on that list!

At the AGM, Webber implied that he got rid of Daniel at the time because things were getting nasty with the fans and he didn’t want to spoil the legacy. Again, also not convinced. I think he just panicked over ‘the noise’ and it felt like such a let down after all he had said.
