Becoming a minority shareholder is giving the club away

A minority shareholding gives you zero say in your investment. True for Delia and Michael, true also for anyone coming in.

Your suggestion amounts to giving the club away as that holding becomes worthless.

I don't think it's unreasonable for someone with the club's best interests at heart, and the financial clout to make a difference to look to be spending £50-100million taking on the controlling stake.

If you don't think that the current owners should be reimbursed for their time, effort and stewardship, why would anyone else choose to 'invest'?
