In my view, during the spell when Smith had a proper squad to pick from there

Was a noticeable improvement in performance levels.

Whether it would have been enough I don’t know and it’s been undermined by both covid and the inadequate squad but there was an improvement there.

I don’t think sacking Farke was the wrong call.
