Yes it’s both but leach has not been treated well so you can’t really blame him

For struggling a bit when he’s dropped into the side for a big Ashes test and expected to perform.

Why do we need to manage the workload of two world class professional athletes who don’t play any one dat cricket and barely play for their counties? When was the last time Anderson and Broad played? They’ve had about 4 months off? But we rely on Stokes coming back from injury and Robinson who is excellent but stiffens up after his first couple of spells in every test.

Why can’t they catch properly?

Roots captaincy has improved a bit but in my opinion he still lacks a bit of instinct at key moments.

We aren’t far off being a decent team (a more reliable opener and more coherent selections/tactics I’d say) so it’s a bit frustrating.

Long way to go in the series though. At least today we have caused them plenty of problems with our seamers.
