why I despair

New variant leads to mild anxiety among the population.

Politicians, ever quick to seek an opportunity, rush to claim that they are ahead of things and make [outright false] statements about those who are newly-eligible for boosters.

Even when called-out for it, said politicians waffle & prevaricate, leaving us mostly in the dark.
