I use both IG and HL (Hargreaves Landsdown)

for share trading and would recommend IG. Just take your time getting used to the Platform you choose before diving in. If you're not in too much of a hurry I would also recommend doing a fantasy spreedsheet ie plot out what you were thinking of doing and then fill in the end of play price each evening to see what you would have gained or lost. There's much to understand but I'm sure you're aware of that depending on the type(s) of stocks you might be interested in. I could write pages of advise (learnt from making mistakes) but I guess you may have to go through that yourself to learn. Good luck.
