I’m that scenario it’s really questionable to sack DF in the first place

There is no finer Championship manager around (in my oh so humble). That he can’t really do it in the Prem is established; people like me think he’d have learned to do it given time but I totally understand the contrary view to that.

But if we’ve decided this season is effectively done for us already then why not give him his head, save the payoff money, and change at the end of next term.
