Late to the party, as ever, but fwiw, here's my belated bittersweet bits'n'bobs...

In an attempt to avoid too many words, I'll cut straight to the crux of Wrath matters, ie. what I had to celebrate:-

Cashews in (Canary) yellow bean sauce (regular) &
Cashew nuts spicy Thai fried rice (no add-on)

with my partner having
Large portion of chips &
(Bitter)sweet & sour sauce

from the ever-reliable Wok China on Aylsham Road (NR3 representing)

To wash it down I'd gone with a Warka Classic (the red one) (5.2%) with a Warka Strong (the black one*) (6.3%) to enjoy later on with my first Match of the Day of the season.

I love having the strong Polish beers from my local offies, so this pick was a no-brainer given the team worka for Farka (sorry).
Sadly though, by the time I'd brought them back home, my partner was starting to spot the rumour mill Wrath posts.

I've been wading through all the posts on here from the final whistle onwards and don't want to go over old ground or repeat similar sentiments, but I have to express how classless I felt the deliverance of the decision by SW to DF was. Such a sheer lack of empathy and so much for the long-established close-working relationship or any guff that came out of the dreaded vote of confidence/rallying call/blame deflection in-house bulls**tery video pre-Leeds. Fair enough they'd already made their call and probably set wheels into motion for his replacement between matches, but did SW have to piss on DF's coffee'n'cake right there and then? Could he not have let him enjoy the ride home with the boys, having worked so hard and waited so long for a top-flight win? What was wrong with bringing DF into his office on Sunday morning to break the sad news to him more gently? Did SW not consider how this could damage any positive emotional momentum and fragile belief only just built back up within the squad? Even though I felt the time had come, that part alone f**ked me right off.

But the footballing world moves on, the badge is more important than the initials on the head coach's training top and every great book has a final chapter. At least the away end* had one final round of ¡Olé!

*Being a ground hunter, I would've loved to have been there purely for the first time City played there, so given the record-ending nature of the match itself and then it turning out to be the ending of an era, that was some game to miss. We were sat in Queens Road Sainsbury's café of all places when we checked BBC Sport for the half-time score, having given our gallows humourous score predictions to then be pleasantly surprised and also gutted we couldn't hear or see it live as we were busy on a pick-up mission.

To sign-off*, I can't resist linking to a YouTube music vid (as ever). My partner had already spotted the loss last weekend of Astro via Twitter and I only spotted APB's playlist update from yesterday's (Sunday's) page just before I started to compose this. So in honour of both Astro & Andy Barker there was only really one video I was gonna pick (the original version of which long being a favourite of mine)...

*Yes, I am aware this track is off their second album not their debut.
