All of this, plus I agree with CWC about being more robustly set up for the long term

I'm still Jimming it a bit about CB and like everyone I'd like a Skippalike (I don't buy that he will come back here, even if he goes on loan - from Spuds' pov he would get broader development at a different club with a different philosophy, he's already had a year of The Nodge Way and a year of A Different Way will round him more as a player).

That said, maybe we play a new system where a Skippalike is less important, I dunno.

The other issue if Skipp did return is that this time next year he and Gilmour would both be going back - two massive holes to fill. But that's for another day.

We do have quality more or less all over the pitch in a way we didn't last time. Luck with injuries does still seem paramount, though.
