Thats the Law of unintended consequences

At the time the hardball was good but in the bigger picture with hindsight may be not. We have a much harder situation get it wrong we are down we need good fees to buy new players and we need to buy players that no one else thinks are good enough for the prem at cheap prices and persuade the player its a good move for them
