This proper blew my mind last night. I was watching a bit of the ITV preview programme
where they interviewed (19 year old) Saka. He didn't seem to know a lot about Geoff Hurst scoring a hattrick.
I then thought, if someone had asked me when I was 19 (that would have been back in 1981) about something that happened 55 years before, they would have been asking me about events in 1926 like The General Strike or the invention of the television set. That was a long time ago!
It really put into context just how long ago we're talking about! You should try it - go back 55 years from when you were 19 and see how much you know about events from that year and see how far away it feels.
