Yeah, the culture and companionship thing is really important

We're going to need to be doing some of it remotely, but there's some things that do work better face to face. We've got a new bod starting week after next - going to take a lot of work to settle them in remotely.

Thing is that the current office environment is nothing like what it was before. With social distancing, half the office mothballed and all my team working from home why on earth would I regularly slog in (over an hour commuting each day) to be talking to my surface pro (exactly as I would be from home) on the outskirts of Newport?

Our place had over half the staff working from home before the pandemic - I was always in for when members of the team wanted to meet.

I'll still come in when there's a point. Realistically that's not going to be more than a day or two a week from here on in.

It'd also be helpful if the office environment was pleasant for when we do come in, but it's now even less suited to the work we do than it was before.
