As with almost everything these days it is being polarised

In those surveys it is about some working from home which for most people will continue for quite some time.

Personally I'm massively more productive since I've been going back to the office more but I definitely get my energy from people and have two young children climbing over me lots at home.

I'm sure some people are more productive at home but even that wouldn't be a reason to abandon the office. Collaboration and creativity don't work properly remotely and neither can you build as strong relationships. I also think it is important for new and younger staff to see how people work and learn by seeing people do things.

I have inducted someone into my team remotely but I know I would have hated it and felt incredibly lonely. Despite the fact my normal day is back to back teams calls.
