I think I may do that subconsciously

I definitely do in person

Usually if a topic comes up I'll start with something like

"oh yeah I heard Leeds fans celebrated last night"

It offers me the chance to stay in or out

1st reply, "well it's bulls**t anyway, and now they want us to wear nappies on our faces"

*doesn't contribute any further, peace in tact"
