If Webber thought he had financial problems when he took over, he should have seen the hand that McNally was dealt when we were in League 1. He basically saved the club.
I think even managerial appointments were excellent overall. Lambert was amazing. Hughton and Neil were qualified successes. Only Adams was a poor decision.
Biggest weakness was probably signings in the Prem. He was ambitious enough to open up the purse strings, but just spent big on the wrong players (Wolf, Naismith, Klose, Jarvis!)
I guess his abrasive style made too many enemies in the end, and so the knives were out for him. But he's a club legend imo.
