I work from home mostly as I have complex childcare needs which come first (I'm a single Dad), and work comes second - I can do plenty of hours, but at odd times of the day and mostly doing that from home, with the odd meeting (ideally online as getting to London or Birmingham is a whole day away from the munchkins which is problematic for various reasons), is what works best for me. With the kids' issues I simply couldn't take on a normal M-F/9-5 (not that any job has been M-F/9-5 for many years now, but still).
