Yeah right...what a heroic tale. Pity its not accurate

Very few students have attended school in recent weeks. Most vulnerable kids remain totally unaccounted for and nationally aren't anywhere near any teacher's classroom or school. Children of key workers too have largely given "open" schools a massive body swerve. Who can blame them?

All teachers have remained on full pay whereas their "rotas" mean they might have to go into school a few days every month at most. Most secondary students will be nowhere near a school till September and almost none are completing online assignments. Normal exam requirements are cancelled. It's basically game over.

Many teachers are in effect currently totally surplus to requirements and doing no teaching. They continue to pick up their full monthly pay whereas private sector workers on equivalent salary scales are on furlough or redundant when similarly surplus to requirements. Maybe the public and those in the private sector should thank and clap you for kindly continuing to bank your salaries for doing next to nothing for the last six weeks.
