First randomised clinical trials of remdesivir apparently show it has some success in treatment of covid 19 patients. Average recovery time reduced from 15 to 11 days and reduced mortality rate from 11.6% to 8%. Not an answer but may be something that helps reduce death numbers. Not sure why anyone would volunteer to be a "placebo" patient in these tests!
Uk vaccine from Oxford in development has now been given to hundreds of people and they hope they may have some initiuuial results by June. Astrazenica have just signed a not for profit agreement for large scale manufacture and distribution of it if it works.
South Korean scientists have apparently concluded that those who they had previously found to be "re-infected" having recovered had not in fact been re-infected and their tests were "false positives."
That latter one in particular very good news if true. The other two have a way to go yet.
