Oh I agree

Their aims but not be too bad but their execution and organisation are appalling. The trouble with 'science' I suspect is that if you get 50 scientists and 47 of them recommend one thing and 3 another, you can go with the 3 against the overwhelming majority opinion and still rather dubiously claim to be following 'science'. And of course if you appoint scientific advisers, as you can just appoint those who'll tell you want you want to hear.
