Any businesses in the City Council area hoping to get the grants?

Just spoke to a really helpful chap there, this is basically what's going on:
Not much news yet and no change to when we can expect the money. If you pay City Council's business rates already then they will have you in the system.
They have had an update this morning from the Gov.
They are expecting details of the rules and regs by the end of the week.
Software is being developed by each council and hasn't been finished or installed yet.
They hope to receive the money from the central Gov by mid April and be able to send it out to those eligible end of April, beginning of May.

You do not need to apply in the first instance, but they will send a contract by post to agree to it.If your premises is closed then you can give them a correspondence address to send it to.
