Further - again highly naive - point

There hasn't really been much speculation so far if smokers are likely to be worse off. Obviously there are smokers worldwide and will be quite a few on here I know. However, smoking has reduced a fair bit in the UK since 2007 (the year it was banned in public places) but in Southern (and Eastern) Europe, especially Italy and Spain it is almost standard to smoke. Almost everyone lights up. I have no idea if there is any correlation or not, but again something that just doesn't yet seem to have been thought of by the media. Maybe they just don't want to scare smokers even more?
