will be increasing that. I think that's the best medium-term prospect. Longer term, immunity through vaccination or surviving infection may not work, but that doesn't mean that the disease can't be eradicated. Smallpox is no longer a problem globally even though the vast majority of the population has no immunity. That was achieved by an effective vaccine, and in the absence of that it would take a massive unprecedented global cooperative effort to eradicate CV19. If there were a fast, simple, cheap home test for infection it could be done.
